The National Skills University Islamabad and its subcampus, NSU Sarmad Tanveer Campus Muridke Sheikhupura, joined the global celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 with unparalleled enthusiasm, aligning with this year’s theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.” The event marked a momentous occasion as female students, dedicated faculty, and female employees came together, taking center stage as the true stars of the day.

 

The National Skills University Islamabad, recognized as a UNESCO/UNEVOC Center, stands as a beacon of inclusivity, providing skills education to all without discrimination. This commitment to fostering an environment of equality and diversity was vividly demonstrated during the International Women’s Day celebration.

 

The event was enriched by our students’ heartfelt and inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment. A documentary on women’s achievements and challenges in various fields further underscored the occasion’s significance.

 

The celebration’s highlight was the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, who reaffirmed the university’s unwavering commitment to equality. In a powerful gesture, all female employees and faculty members were invited to share the stage, symbolizing that women at The National Skills University are not merely given equal opportunities but actively empowered to excel in all disciplines.

In his address, Professor Mukhtar shared personal stories, highlighting the pivotal role played by his mother, wife, and daughters in his journey towards excellence in various avenues of life.
