Profit over Peace: Indian Media and Politicians Fuel Tensions for ratings and rankings

In a disturbing trend, Indian TV and Indian YouTube news channels are resorting to blaming Pakistan for the recent attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
This blatant propaganda is driven by a singular purpose: to increase viewership and rake in advertising revenue. By sensationalizing and fabricating stories about Pakistan, these media outlets are able to garner more views, ratings, and dollars.
Indian politicians are also exploiting this narrative to garner votes by whipping up anti-Pakistan sentiment. This calculated manipulation of public opinion is a stark reminder of the lengths to which some will go to prioritize profits over truth and peace. The Pahalgam incident is being used as a pretext to fan the flames of nationalism and xenophobia, further straining relations between India and Pakistan.
The Indian media’s biased reporting and politicians’ inflammatory rhetoric are not only misinforming the public but also contributing to a volatile atmosphere. This kind of propaganda can have far-reaching consequences, including escalating tensions and potentially leading to conflict.
Pakistan is a strong power and very well able to offensively respond to Indian aggressions.
